Job Description
Our client is recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Business Administrator Complaints & PALS to join their expanding team , working as part of the Patient Relations Department, which also includes PALS & Complaints.
The successful candidate will undertake a 19 month development programme in Business Administration – Complaints & PALS, through work based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Supervision and support will be provided during all tasks, enabling the apprentice to work within the organisation to gain experience, confidence and to deliver effective and safe patient focused support, to the designated team.
We are looking for someone with great communication and inter-personal skills, excellent data inputting skills, an empathetic approach, attention to detail, a resilient personality and knowledge of the PALS and Complaints policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of PALS cases, which will involve contact with patients and their relatives by phone, e-mail and in person; liaising with key Trust staff to ensure deadlines and standards are met and ensuring the responses provided are of the highest quality, as well as daily monitoring of the Patient Relations telephones and handling the administrative aspects of the Complaints Department. Knowledge of the Datix database and an understanding of Acute Trusts would be an advantage.
The post available is a full-time (37.5hrs) post, based around a normal working day of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
