Duties and responsibilities

We know that a fast-paced business needs quality financial information and your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help keep Kegstar moving by providing accurate and timely financial information.

The role will suit a pragmatic person who has a passion for craft brewing and numbers! We are looking for a track record of keeping accurate financial information and working quickly and efficiently to meet reporting deadlines. You’ll work as part of a small and dedicated team, ensuring that the overall business is successful in meeting its targets, from issuing invoices, ensuring payments are made on time, to cash management and month end reporting. Junior Accounting guru’s play a critical role in ensuring that Kegstar functions smoothly and delivers on its ambitions.

The main responsibilities that you will take on include:

• Cash management - Assisting the Finance Manager in producing cashflow forecasts and managing cash movements
• Sales/Purchase Invoice Issuing - Ensuring customers receive their Kegstar invoices in a timely manner with total accuracy whilst making sure supplier invoices are also taken care of and are inputted into Xero accurately and on time
• Payments and expenses management - Taking total ownership of ensuring suppliers and expenses are paid on time
• Company card management - Taking total ownership of managing the Kegstar corporate card facilities to ensure all transactions are recorded and reconciled accurately
• Month-end reporting
• Commercial finance - Producing financial analysis on key strategic deals and comparing to the original investment criteria, ensuring that Kegstar is delivering value for its customers and investors

The Individual

This role will suit a pragmatic, tenacious, dedicated, capable, sociable and fun-loving individual who is prepared to get truly hands-on in every aspect of the business. The individual will come with a track record of success and experience to back their own opinion, while remaining flexible and open to collaborative feedback and new ways of doing things.

As a fully qualified accountant, you will have corporate experience of accounting as well as tonnes of personality! You will have proven competence in finance and, academically, A-Levels and a degree in an analytical/numerical discipline.

The salary for this role will be £35,000 p.a.
