Job Description
Our client is currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Risk and Governance Administrator Apprentice to join the expanding Risk and Governance team .
The Risk and Governance team supports the Trust in providing high quality patient care, by ensuring a cycle of continuous improvement by learning from incidents, patient experience, audit and other sources of information.
As post holder you will work as part of a team. The primary function of the role is the day to day management of the Trust’s incident reporting system (DATIX) and processes. You will support the routine maintenance of data quality within the DATIX system to a high standard, produce reports on incident and risk information for staff as requested and provide advice, guidance and training with regards to the DATIX system. Combined with working to strict deadlines you will have good organisational skills and previous experience of prioritising tasks as needed.
Administrative duties associated with the receipt, collection, handling, production and distribution of written materials, electronic records, maintenance of various databases including the DATIX incident/risk management systems are key components of this role, and therefore Knowledge and experience of using software programmes (e.g. Microsoft Office) and keyboard skills are a requirement for this role.
There is also a requirement for a limited amount of manual handling within the role. This role requires tact, patience, accurate data entry combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The successful candidate will undertake a 19 month development programme in Business Administration – Risk and Governance, through work based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Supervision and support will be provided during all tasks, enabling the apprentice to work within the organisation to gain experience, confidence and to deliver effective and safe patient focused support, to the designated team.
Working hours are within 8.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
