Key responsibilities of our Business Applications Administrator
- Day-to-day system administration, including user security admin and role centre admin
- Support system upgrades and enhancements
- Provide a third-line support resource for diagnosing and resolving difficult issues
- Assist Business Intelligence teams in identifying the correct data sources from within the system to facilitate reporting requirements
- Engage and communicate effectively with all levels of our business
- Assist the Group Business Applications Manager in the implementation of Dynamics NAV (including data migration, user setup, security setup, testing and issue tracking)
- Assist in, and where necessary, lead projects to implement change within the business systems
- Be fully knowledgeable of the direction of the business to align solutions to that business plan
- Be involved in other IT related tasks, including more general IT support assistance and out-of-hours telephone support
What we’re looking for in our Business Applications Administrator
- A good general knowledge of Dynamics NAV 2013, 2015 or 2016
- Strong technical knowledge of Dynamics NAV
- Good knowledge of the data tables within Dynamics NAV
- Transact-SQL
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Must also be able to convey information clearly through a variety of methods to members of the business at all levels
- Excellent time management and scheduling skills
- Ability to work within a small IT department, be flexible and adaptable to varying situations and willing to play their part in both the department’s and business’s success
- Able to work to tight timescales and deal with users who have differing priorities.
- Demonstrable experience in administrating, developing and improving IT business services
