Finance Business Partner

Based: Lancashire

Salary: circa £50K dependent on experience. Excellent benefits and opportunities within a fast paced, growing business

Our client are a progressive, growing retail business with plans to double their turnover in the next 5 years. Recently undergoing a huge transformation project, they are growing year on year, month on month and looking for a commercial Finance Business Partner to join them for the next stage of their growth. This role will sit within their growing finance team, reporting into the Head of Finance and partnering with a number of key stakeholders, having full financial responsibility for an area of the business

Role:

• Ownership for forecasting and management/tracking of all projects internally within set business unit
• Partnering with all key internal stakeholders within the financial services area of the business
• Providing accrual financial performance results, tracking trend analysis
• Supporting Head of Finance to deliver sustainable profitable growth, scenario planning to provide commercial future insights on profit
• Developing strong relationships with senior managers to support operational and strategic decision making
• Providing insightful financial analysis and analytical opinions to support management team
• Translating financial KPI's to identify and understand underlying trends, providing insight for what that means for the future
• Driving operational performance by understanding key drivers of the business and how they affect overall performance and profitability
• Tracking performance against set budgets, supporting teams to achieve these
• Data modelling, scenario planning and project analysis to provide insight and suggestions for future plans/profitability
• Interpreting P&L, balance sheet and cash flow data to understand impact on future profitability

Experience:

• Qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA/ACA Essential
• Strong commercial acumen - ability to perform data modelling, scenario planning and show commercial insights for the future
• Highly numerate with strong reporting/analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills - previous business partnering experience is essential
• Ability to challenge and influence internal Directors/Managers
