My client is a Media company that specialise in publishing reality and economic news. They have been around for over 20 years and are now looking for a new Sole Company Accountant to join their team for 6 months.

Sole Company Accountant

Roles and duties:

• Full responsibility of the debtors ledger
• Raising and processing invoices
• Raising purchase invoices
• Chasing debtors
• Liaising with departments to resolve queries
• Sending out monthly statements
• Setting up new suppliers on the system
• Preparing and processing the payment runs
• Coding and checking expenses
• Bank reconciliations - daily
• Petty cash reconciliations
• Accruals and prepayments
• Updating journals, fixed assets and deferred income
• Produce monthly management accounts
• Profit and loss
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT returns

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate:

• Actively studying ACCA or AAT
• Will have worked in a sole role before, taking full control on Finance
• Will be from a small company background, heading up Finance
• Excel - v look ups, pivot tables
