The purpose of this position will be to provide bookkeeping / accounting services to a wide variety of clients. The role could be full or part time as required by the successful applicant. Duties and responsibilities will include:
Full bookkeeping function for a portfolio of clients
Work with Small limited companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
PAYE
VAT
Dealing with HMRC and Companies House
Books to balance sheet
End of year reports / returns
Customer liaison
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications, skills, experience and attributes:
Qualified bookkeeper or part qualified accountant
Previously worked in an accountancy firm supporting a portfolio of clients
Experience with a variety of businesses including self assessment sole trader accounts, partnership accounts, and limited companies
Full function accountancy experience
PAYE and VAT experience essential
Books to Balance Sheet
Able to work independently
Excellent customer service skills
Deadline driven
Attention to detail
Ability to work on accountancy software (Sage or similar)

This role offers flexibility with either full or part time hours in a lovely office based in Newport. Excellent salary on offer which is negotiable on experience and qualifications.
