Your new companyYour new job working as a Underwriting Services technician, will be working for a leading Re-insurer with offices based in and around Europe, with head office based in the City. They pride themselves on providing their clients with value-added solutions and strive on achieving long-term needs for clients. Due to growth within the team a permanent job for an Underwriting Service technician has arisen.
Your new role
Working as a Senior Underwriting technician you will be responsible for processing and validation of Premiums for predominately Non Marine Insurance & Reinsurance with numerous risks containing multi-jurisdiction IPTs. The Majority of Business you will be handling is London Market through Xchanging with a significant proportion of direct accounting from various International, European offices
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience of working within a global/corporate Insurer or Reinsurer, undertaking a Senior Underwriting technical role will contribute to your success. You will have an excellent understanding of Slips, endorsements and tax splits. You will be responsible for processing premiums into the set up policy, complex calculations and be responsible for all tax reporting. Daily duties will include; facultative premium processing and you will be confident in your technical ability and have an understanding of what is required in an underwriting services technical position. You will preferably have an understanding of Property/ Liability/ terrorism or offshore risks and your drive and motivation will allow you to adapt well into a diverse and growing team
