An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as Bookkeeper to Concordia Consultancy Ltd and its associated companies, around the world.
Concordia is a professionally orientated, multi-lingual internationally focused insurance consultancy company. It provides a range of services around the world for Insurers, Lloyd’s Underwriters, Re-Insurers, Brokers, Risk Managers and the legal profession.
Main responsibilities
Researching and monitoring purchases, including the Purchase Order system;
Entering purchase and sales invoices on Sage and spreadsheets;
Checking itemised invoices and rechargeable expenses;
Preparation of invoice packs and activity summaries;
Supporting the annual budget process;
Expenses reconciliation;
Assistance with spreadsheets on company case assignments;
Ongoing support to the Accounts Department and Directors;
Occasional communication with client companies;
Scanning documents and invoices which have been received by post;
General office support, including answering telephones, filing, (correspondence, invoices and emails - both hard and soft copies).
Key Requirements
Must have good working knowledge in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Attention to detail is essential.
Previous experience with Sage preferred but not critical as training will be given.
Excellent numerical skills.
Ability to be flexible and to respond to changes in priorities.
Accurate data entry required.
Good teamwork skills needed.
The position would suit someone with 2 - 3 years post school/college experience.
Terms of Employment
The nature of Concordia’s business and their professional activities, especially client details, are strictly confidential and the employment is based on an understanding that the Bookkeeper will not at any time, during or after employment, disclose or discuss any information to or with parties or persons outside of the company.
Contracted hours will be from 08.30 to 17.30hrs. The employee will receive 20 days holiday per year increasing by one day for each year of service completed, up to a maximum of 25 days.
Concordia will pay reasonable training costs for relevant professional development.
Pension and other benefits including dental, private medical, life cover, travel insurance and private health insurance after successful completion of three (3) months probation. There is also a discretionary six monthly performance bonus (Pro rata) totalling up to one (1) month’s salary across a 12 month period.
