Job Description
A successful retail outlet requires an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager to run a small but busy accounts department in a standalone capacity. You will need to be comfortable managing the books for a small business autonomously, as well as dealing with invoicing, credit control and payroll. This position offers the opportunity to work a couple of days a week from home. The main focus of this role is general bookkeeping and accounts and you should be comfortable dealing with all aspects of the company's accounts as you will be the sole person employed in this function. This organisation are looking to implement a new accounts software in the near future and this position will oversee the process, along with assessing and reorganising the existing accounts structure. To be successful, you will have experience with the following: Payroll VAT returns/expenditure reports Bookkeeping Data collection Credit control This position will suit someone with experience working within a small accounts department and ideally AAT certified but this is not essential.
