Job Description

The successful applicant will provide support to the overall HR function, supporting the administrative and operational activities within the department.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

· Acting as first point of contact for employees and line managers for all HR related queries coming into the busy HR inbox and answering all non-ER related queries by telephone escalating where necessary.

· On boarding of new starters, preparing offers letters and contracts and managing the offer process including references and pre-employment checks

· Responsible for generating correspondence relating to variations to terms and conditions, probation extensions, maternity/paternity/shared parental leave, flexible working and reference requests.

· Maintaining accurate records and setting up personnel files.

· Liaising with the payroll team and nursery managers ensuring accurate and timely information is delivered in line with payroll deadlines

· Assisting with recruitment including placing external and internal job adverts via indeed and email including managing the recruitment inbox in the absence of the Recruitment Administrator.

· Assisting the Head of HR and HR Manager with ad-hoc project work as and when required.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Significant experience working in a HR based role is essential. · Strong communication and time management skills will the ability to work well under pressure. · Excellent attention to detail and able to demonstrate on-going application of their own initiative with the ability to meet SLA’s and work to tight deadlines. · High level of computer proficiency, with experience in Excel, Word, Outlook etc. · Excellent Administration skills. · Discreet and Confidential. · Calm, self-motivated and customer orientated. · Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the group with a friendly and approachable personality. · CIPD qualification desirable.
