As part of our admin team, working within a busy social care environment, you will provide admin support alongside colleagues in the business admin team who provide services to the child in need, children in care and fostering services.
You will be directly responsible to the Admin Team leader and will need to work individually and as part of a team. You will need to demonstrate that you have experience of working within a busy office environment, have good communication skills and are proficient in working with office IT/finance systems. As part of the role you will be required to take minutes at meetings, answering phone calls, process invoices, maintain spreadsheets, arrange training, distribution of documents and handling of sensitive and confidential data and information for the CIN, CIC and fostering teams as a whole. You will be required to complete local authority statutory/DBS checks/applications, overseas criminal records checks, medical forms, request personal/employers references in compliance with fostering /special guardianship assessments and regulations and the ability to undertake other associated administrative tasks to meet the needs of the service as a whole.
The post holder will implement, develop and update information on IT systems to ensure delivery of a high level of service to the whole service area and to ensure that accurate recording of information is maintained.
The post holder should be able to use their own initiative to priorities and organize their own workload and will also need to have the ability to work with members of the public mainly over the phone and occasionally face to face.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
